This week with TTR: Fireflies and history!

Hi friends,
We may run fast, but we care deeply about each location we zip through, each with its own beauty and heritage.
Take the runs in the coming two weeks: first two lovely evenings immersed in the Hanno countryside, surrounded by fireflies, and then a run following the tragic final steps of Heikuro Shibusawa.
We believe that running is much more than selfies and medals: it's a powerful tool for discovering, sharing and revitalizing the beautiful farmland and the mountains around us. Let's enjoy them together!
Keep following our newsletter and our Facebook page for more announcements and updates.

🗄 The run starts and ends at the same station, which has lockers you may use and share.

Join us at Hanno station at 8:10 am for a trail run immersed in local culture, on which we will follow the historical footsteps of tragically brave and loyal Heikuro Shibusawa. Heikuro's final journey (from the battle of Hanno at the footsteps of Tenranzan, where his forces were defeated, to the footsteps of Kuroyama waterfall, where he bravely made his last stand) is a testament to his youth, martial skill, and unwavering samurai spirit. We will recount his story as we run along these historically significant sites. History aside, we will also make time for some splashing under waterfalls to cool off the summer heat. We will finish at Ogose station.
Bring at least 1 liter of water (there are vending machines along the way).
The start and finish stations are separate, so please carry all your luggage with you.
If you wish, you can use a nearby hot spring after the finish.
