**This run requires you to climb some vertical chains where an accident would be serious or fatal. Please do not apply unless you are confident with some degree of minor rock climbing (all with chains).
*** At the end of this run, those who choose will do an extra section to investigate some little known waterfalls in the area. You do not need to go to each waterfall, but you can enjoy one or two if you choose, before heading for the bus stop. This will add about 60-90 minutes to this run. Otherwise, if you skip this section, you can be down by 2 pm or earlier
Details:
Meet us at Enzan station at 9:00. We will take the 9:05 bus from the station to 乾徳山入口. If the buses are full or other issues occur, it is possible to take a shared taxi for a few thousand yen.
Upper intermediate and advanced. Kentokuzan is perhaps the most attractive 2,000 meter peak near Tokyo. Start and finish are a short bus ride away from Enzan Station, where a bag can be left in the lockers.
The climb is steep, and the final sections are vertical with chains. Do not apply if you are afraid of heights! There are a couple of bypasses to the chains for those that get a bit freaked out with this much air, but all in all I recommend not applying if you have doubts about your ability on rock. The chains are very secure and attract large groups of climbers, but the peak is a small taste of alpinism
Difficulty: 3/5
Danger: 4/5
