This week with TTR: long weekend!

After last week's rain, this weekend should be sunnier, hopefully opening a nice long season of Autumn runs.

Mt. Jinba is one of the most stunning peaks you can easily climb within a morning from Tokyo.

Between a tasty soba (or sherbet!) at the top and the quiet little onsen below, you will feel miles away from the bustle of the city or even the mountain crowds

In this beginners-level event we will hike up from Sagamiko station, steadily climbing the 800 meters to the top over 8km of switchbacks.

After a quick snack at one of the soba shops at the summit, we will take the fun, runnable descent towards Fujino.

Distance: 18 km (about 3,5 hours with breaks)
Total ascent: 899 m

FAQ
-THE TRAIL IS SAFE BUT A BIT NARROW, WEAR SOMETHING GRIPPY (TRAIL SHOES IF POSSIBLE)
-Bring a 0.5L water bottle or buy it along the way

Yes, sometimes TTR hikes. Beautiful autumn hike in Chichibu, with a final chance to (maybe) see some spider lilies, and the beginning of some wonderful autumn scenery. Good for families, kids, or anyone who wants an easy day hike. Likely to be about 12K with the high point on Hinata Mountain. Finish will be the pretty Buko Onsen , where there is a bus to Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line.

Robert may throw in some unusual surprises! Since it is late in the season, we can guarantee beautiful flowers, but actual spider lilies (manjushage) will be mostly finished. While spider lilies are not guaranteed, the course will be beautiful no matter what!

Meet us at Ikusabata station at 8:40 am.

12-13K Run over the three peaks of Takamizu, with elevations up to 700 meters, then descend to a lovely run along the upper reaches of the Tama River. Finish point is the interesting restaurant at Sawanoi, Tokyo Prefecture's most delicious brewery. Even for non-Sake drinkers, the atmosphere at the outdoor restaurant is great!

Suitable for most elementary to intermediate runners, who can run 10km within 60-70 mins on the road.

You have to bring everything in your backpack because the start and the finish point (Sawai Station) are different. More than 1.0 litter of water is recommended to carry.

Please note: Even though we frequently splash around or swim in the Tama River at the end of this run, this is likely to be prohibited this time. Rivers in Okutama and Okumusashi are near flood stage right now,
