Please pack everything you need, as we will finish at Sawai Station. The course is relatively gentle and runnable for the most part, and you can enjoy soba, hot snacks and sake at the beautiful Seiryu Garden, which should be covered in momiji.This run is not suitable for inexperienced trail runners, as the first climb up to Hinode is challenging. Last Shot! Chichibu Pilgrimage Trail With Autumn Colors (Beginners 12K)

**Be VERY VERY CAREFUL that you are on the right train. Half of your train from Hanno might go to Mitsumine Station and Urayamaguchi (our station for this run) but half might go to a different area. DO NOT GET ON THE SECTION HEADING TO NAGATORO STATION. Change trains immediately at Yokoze Station or before if you are in the wrong car.
This course is a good introduction to Chichibu's ancient pilgrimage routes, covering some amazing mountain temples and rustic shrines (including an outdoor sumo dojo!). Autumn colors will be superb.
Our finish is at Seibu Chichibu Station, and the run is about 12K. Any elementary runners should be OK. There is an onsen (hot spring) at the station. Our goal is to take in 4-5 famous temples along the Chichibu Pilgrimage Route.
Total elevation gain is about 500 meters or so (just an estimate) but the course is easy to run. We did this run two weeks ago, but this is a slightly easier route taking in more temples and ancient trails.
-There is a direct train leaving Hanno at 8:56. However the train divides at Yokoze (half goes to Nagatoro). Make sure you are on the half of the train going to Mitsumine Station. Urayamaguchi is 2 stations past Seibu Chichibu with no need to transfer there.
-Finish is at Seibu Chichibu Station, which is convenient to Tokyo (90 minutes)
-Carry everything, since the start and finish are far apart.
