This week with TTR: Finishing touches!
Hi friends,
With over 1000 participants, next week's Okumusashi Long Trail race will be even more exciting than the last!
Preparations are entering into high gear, thoroughly marking the main sections of the trail. We will have three different groups, split between Saturday and Sunday.
Don't hesitate to join the one that suits you best: it's a great chance to get in touch with the Tokyo trailrunning community, and a lot of fun.
Also remember that we will not cancel any of these in case of rain. Rainy season is coming anyway, and a light drizzle actually makes running easier!
Keep following our newsletter and our Facebook page for more announcements and updates.
(And best of luck to all at the Echigo Matsudai Harunojin race this weekend!)

Serious but beautiful section of the Okumusashi Long Trail, with lots of climbing. This will be led by Dharma and Drew. Total perhaps 27K, though for those who need to descend there are some escape options to the Seibu Line.
Please carry a lunch, or consider buying lunch at Kaburi Pass. This event will NOT be cancelled even if there is rain on the day, though it could be delayed until Sunday (the next day). This will be tough, but fun!
Course marking is good fun, so go for it!

Meet up at Agano Station for course marking.
The course climbs up into the Hanno Alps before emerging at Nenogongen Temple. Runners will then continue to magical Takedera Temple for refreshments. From Takedera runners have a choice of descending to the bus stop, or continuing on to Haraiichiba Town to catch a bus back to Hanno.
For those descending from Takedera directly to the bus stop, the total distance is about 13K. Those running the full course to Haraiichiba will do about 17K.
This run will be led by Misao and Robert. The run will NOT be cancelled even if it rains. Start and finish are far apart, so please do not put anything in the lockers at Agano Station. It's definitely got some interesting sites!
[Intermediate]

After receiving tapes, signs and scissors from Robert and Yeonock, we will mark the initial stretch of the course, from Hanno to Agano station.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. There will be a little treat for you ❤
- Event will NOT be cancelled in the event of rain
- Bring lunch from home or buy it at the conbini along the way
- Bring plenty of water. Days are getting hot already
- Trail shoes are recommended. The trail is wide and safe, but could be muddy for rain and placing ribbons might require some uneasy footing
- There are a few escape points, but we recommend this activity to intermediate runners and above. It will be a long day.
