This week with TTR: Memories and waterfalls!

Hi friends,

While our daily life quickly pulls us back, the photos from the Okumusashi long trail race make us smile and excited at the same time!

Thank you to all the runners who joined us in this adventure and the volunteers who ensured they would get back safely. Obviously, a special "thank you" goes to Robert and Yeonock in particular, without which none of this would have happened in the first place.

And of course, expect many more events of all levels in the coming weeks and months, starting with a lovely Kawanori run this Sunday!

Keep following our newsletter and our Facebook page for more announcements and updates.

Start Okutama station - Sunday 16th from 08:30
End Hatonosu/Kori station

Mt. Kawanori is one of the most interesting mountains in Okutama, and even better it includes the dramatic Hyakuhiro Waterfall, one of the largest near Tokyo. This course is open for all intermediate trailrunners who would like to hit some high peaks to cool down as summer is approaching. High point is 1,400 meters.

Start is Okutama station, from where we will run about 3 or 4 km on the road to the trailhead. Finish will be either at Hatonosu station, where there are some fine spots for doing dobon on the river, or at Kori station, where there is a Konbini. If you wish to leave a bag in the lockers at Okutama Station that is possible, if you don't mind going backwards a few stations after finishing and before heading to Tokyo.

There are no services anywhere on this course after Okutama Station, so bring foods (water is available from the numerous falls and streams).
The section before the waterfall is a bit dodgy. It is important to move carefully for safety.

Please wear proper trail running shoes. Fascinating course for Intermediate and above runners.
This run will be guided by Carlos (fb.me/crabsiun). Maximum 12 runners.
