This week with TTR: Summer plans and new ideas!

Hi friends,

As the rainy season slowly turns into summer, we turn to our typical plans for the season: local runs with shade/rivers/waterfalls or larger trips to the higher ridges 😄

But there's also something new, with our first event designed with younger runners in mind. And you can expect a few more experiments in the coming weeks!

Keep following our newsletter and our Facebook page for more announcements and updates.

Start Takaosanguchi station - Friday 19th from 19:30
End Takaosanguchi station - ~22:30
Beginners run night run - 12 km +627m ~3h
Contact fb.me/aran4649

Let's enjoy a fresh night-time run!

The route is 12 km long with 627 meters of climbing and 20% paved. There are no technical challenges, but be prepared for stairs and climbs.

From Takaosanguchi station we'll steadily climb through Trail 3. After reaching the summit of Mt. Takao, we will continue until Kobotoke-shiroyama.

We'll stop there for a quick break until the sun sets, before taking the way back through Takao's iconic Trail 1, with its shrines and vistas (but without the crowds!)

-Bring your food and drinks to share if you can. We will bring a dessert and a drink for everyone. Please bring your own cup if you can.

Let's train and relax an beautiful local trails, leading to a huge (and cheap!) onsen.
After starting at the spectacular Takahatafudo-son shrine, we will steadily climb along Tama zoo and up to the ridge, with a few open views on mt. Fuji (weather permitting!)
After crossing Naganuma park and the (supposedly!) cursed hill of Kinu no michi, we will descend down to the runnable trails of Machida and our final destination of Roten garden onsen. Those who want can enjoy a bath here and then take the free hourly shuttle to Hashimoto or Hachioji. The others can continue running straight to Tamasakai station (about 30 minutes away)
